Research Advice
  • Every time you find a source you know you can use, go to bibme.com, log in, and update your source list BEFORE you start taking notes on it.
  • Take notes on index cards or on notebook paper.  Make sure you indicate which source you are getting your notes from (not the full bibliography, but citing it by the author's last name and page number or the first couple of words of the title plus the page number on your notes will do).  This will save you time later when you are putting your project together and trying to create a works cited page.
  • Take complete notes from one source at a time.
  • After you are finished with one source, then move to another source and start the process over.
